Connections are kind of funny things. Some come, some go and some will always be there – wanted or not.
I haven’t felt very connected with myself in the last year. I blame it on life, kids and what not. I started taking a weekly yoga class about 2 months ago and I haven’t felt more connected to myself than I do in that class in a long time. And this isn’t a ‘relaxing’ yoga class. It’s actually a yoga/Pilates fusion class and it literally kicks my butt, but I feel so peaceful after. Just calm. Just me.
At least until I pick the kids up from child watch.
I would have loved to have taken a picture of a more complicated pose, but two things:
1) There’s just not enough time for me to set the timer, get my booty across the room and in pose before the shutter starts firing.
2) A lot of the more complicated poses just aren’t as pretty when fluffy people are doing them.
