52 Weeks of Me: Traditional Portraits (1/52)

I am not a photographer and I certainly don’t do self portraits well, so when Jessie at The Lucas Zoo invited me to participate in 52 Weeks of Me I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to learn more about my camera and do something I wouldn’t normally do.
52 Weeks of Me is a project dreamed up by Jessie and Cara.  You can read all about the concept here on Cara’s blog.
For week 1, we are taking traditional portrait shots.  The lighting in my house bites, but I found some decent light from a north facing window in my bathroom.  I tried using a backdrop, and well – with a 19 month old tearing it down as soon as I got it up – I gave up and just used the wall.
This is me.  No makeup, no hair style, just me.
Oh, and I do have on a shirt.  It’s just strapless LOL

You look fabulous Jamie! What a great shot of you, very fun! I am so happy that you decided to attempt this with us.

  2. Amy Sloan says:

    You are gorgeous! xoxox

  3. Love the natural shot! I, like you, also have poor lighting in the house and it is tough to get a shot outdoors these days since it is so cold.

  4. Kimberly says:

Are you SURE you have on a shirt? 😉 You’re a natural beauty. I may have to try with no makeup on after all.
