8 DIY Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts {Make It For Mom}

Let’s face it – We aren’t all the planners we wish we could be.  Sometimes I’m more “on it” than others, and sometimes I’m trying to figure out what to do for my mom the day before Mother’s Day.  Because I know I’m not alone, here are 8 last minute Mother’s Day gifts – Gifts you can make yourself, without breaking the bank.

8 DIY Last Minute Mother's Day GiftsMother’s Day Cookie Cards

If mom has a sweet tooth, you can whip up a batch of these Mother’s Day Cookie Cards from In The Playroom.  They are much easier than they look, and I can promise you that mom will not be looking for perfection, just action!  These cards say it all, from the heart to the stomach.  The best part is – everyone can enjoy this gift is you ice a whole batch of the cookies!

Vintage Tea Cup Candle

These Vintage Tea Cup Candles are elegant, unique and you can thrift the cups!  You could make one or a whole eclectic set.  I love the look of this gift, but I also love that you can really make it personal with scents, colors, etc.  Kate at Crafts On Sea really did a great job on these.  I know my mom would love it!

Kool-Aid Lip Balm

I am so jealous of Glued To My Crafts.  I am jealous that she came up with the idea to make Kool-aid flavored lip balm and I didn’t.  I’m jealous that she now has Kool-Aid flavored lip balm and I don’t.  This is another one of those great last minute Mother’s Day gifts that you can totally make to suit your mother’s tastes (literally) and with simple, easy to find supplies.

Pomegranate Sugar Scrub

There are a lot of moms out there that want nothing more for Mother’s Day than a little time to pamper themselves.  This Pomegranate Sugar Scrub would be the perfect gift to accompany that.  This Mama Loves isn’t the only one loving pomegranate or pink!

Coffee Cup Topiary

I’m not saying I’m one of them, but some people like to hoard coffee mugs.  For a family like mine, one who knows I love mugs, sometimes they get bored giving them.  This Coffee Cup Topiary from Crafts ‘n Coffee is a fun little twist on a traditional mug gift – one that can be visually appreciated for a while, then put to a more practical use.

Dimensional Hand Print Art

While everyone might not have the supplies for this Dimensional Hand Print Art from Down Home Inspiration, you can certainly take this idea and run with it.  You could do this with puffy paint, simple paper and 3D tape or what ever you have around that might work.

Mother’s Day Ribbon

For the younger crafters, this Mother’s Day Ribbon will surely make mom smile.  Kim at 733 made this simple enough that anyone could do it – even a toddler – with a little guidance.  Colors, shapes – it’s all up to you!  Work with what you have and you can whip out several of these last minute Mother’s Day gifts in no time!

Mother’s Day Pendant

I want this, I want this, I want this!  This Mother’s Day Pendant is so beautiful and would mean the world coming to me from one of my children, especially if they made it with their own hands!  Our Family World did an amazing job on this tutorial and I feel confident that anyone could replicate this gorgeous necklace and make their mom the happiest mom ever with this last minute Mother’s Day gift.

Do you “have it all together” this Mother’s Day or will you be shopping for last minute Mother’s Day gifts?  Which of these is your favorite?
