The Perfect White Peach Sangria Recipe
The nectar of the Gods. Or, at least the over-worked, over-stressed mom. I love sangria. It’s cool, refreshing and perfect for any occasion. It even has fruit, so technically it could be good for you? Sure. Let’s go with that. I’ve never been one for red wine, at least not often, so I adapted a recipe from a friend and made my perfect White Peach Sangria!
The Players:
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 can of Sprite (and don’t forget to recycle the can!)
- Juice of 3-4 limes
- 1 bottle of Pinot Grigio
- 1 cup of white grape / peach blend juice (no sugar added / 100% juice)
- Frozen whole strawberries and sliced peaches
Instructions:
- Add the sugar to a pitcher.
- Pour in the can of Sprite.
- Squeeze the juice of 3-4 limes into the pitcher.
- Pour the entire bottle of Pinot Grigio into the pitcher.
- Add 1 cup of white grape / peach blend juice to the mix.
- Add frozen strawberries and sliced peaches, or any other fruit of your choice.
- Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
- Let the sangria sit for at least an hour or two to allow the flavors to meld together.
A variation for the 4th of July would be to add blueberries instead of peaches for a red, white, and blue sangria!
