Not sure if you know this about me but I am really into DIY Personal Care, Healthy Recipes and trying new things. But let me preface this with the fact I have so much going on in my life and I don’t have good patience. Sometimes things don’t turn out so great. (Just letting you know for future installments)
So a few weeks ago my goal was to start using even more DIY (Homemade) items for my personal care. I already used homemade eye makeup remover, moisturizer, sun enhancer & sun screen
So this was the week to add:
Facial Cleanser, Shampoo/Conditioner, Body Lotion & Toothpaste
All my stuff turned out ok and looked good. But did it work???
I am still in the testing stages but I did use J as a test subject. She wanted whiter teeth so I said use my new toothpaste with baking soda, it will whiten your teeth. I told her it tasted a little salty but she informed me she liked salt.
She barely had it in her mouth before she spit it out and said “No way!!!!” But dear I thought you liked salt? Oh well, no white teeth for you I guess.
Next was the stuff to clear up her acne. Well I already had this made from before but just learned it could be used on acne. Thieves Oil!!! I had been putting some on my acne prone areas for a week or so and I could see a huge difference where things were drying up. So I gave it to her to try.
She came screaming in my room “It burns!!!!!!” I just laughed and said “suck it up butter cup. You want clear skin you gotta suffer”. Well it has been a week and she is still using it – I guess it works and the pain must not be so bad.
One of these days I will have her totally hooked on all this natural stuff but baby steps is good.
(PS facial cleanser and toothpaste are hits with me. The other things I am still working out).
