Envirosax – 2012 Holiday Gift Guide #Giveaway!

We’re super excited about the first entry in our 2012 Holiday Gift Guide…

Envirosax

Envirosax Eco-Friendly MiniSax

Sometimes going ‘green’ can be a little blah.  Most of the big stores offer shoppers re-useable shopping bags, but have you ever saw one you said ‘I just have to have that!’  I doubt it.  While the function is there, the look certainly isn’t.  Meet Envirosax.

Envirosax bags are like a re-useable grocery bag meets a high end designer purse.  All the function of a re-useable bag in a much nicer package.

We were first introduced to Envirosax back in September at the Balancing Act Road Tour and I was immediately impressed.  One of the perks of being media at an event is the swag (stuff we all get).  I came unprepared.  Very unprepared.  I was balancing a stack of brochures, packets, booklets, product samples and who knows what else, when I was rescued.  Our lovely media guide brought me an Envirosax bag.

I was skeptical at first.  The bag was folded and looked tiny.  Teeny-tiny.  No way was this thing going to hold everything I was carrying around.  Then she unfolded it.

Ok, so it was big enough – but it was thin.  Really thin.  Clearly it had to be in order to fold up that small.  I ran my fingers across it.  Yep.  Thin.  This thing is totally going to bust as I am walking through this show.  I just know it.

I loaded everything in.  Huh?  No stretching.  No give at all, actually.  This thing seems pretty sturdy.

…nearly three months later…

Still being carried.  Yep.  The same bag.  It’s been drug across the concrete by my son.  It regularly serves as a way to carry toys from home to grandma’s and back.  It’s the perfect size for a quick run to Target or Wal-mart and I can leave it in my trunk without eating up valuable storage space.  It’s also perfect for hanging over the back of my seat for the kids to toss trash into (not that they actually use it, but the concept is there.)

Besides being cute, and WAY affordable (great teacher gifts!), they are a great eco-focused company.  I won’t bore you with all the details, you can read those here.

Durable, practical, fashionable and good for the planet?  That’s why Envirosax makes our 2012 Holiday Gift Guide.

  8. I already have many Envirosax bags and I LOVE them. I don’t have a minisax one though! I’d use it for those times when the big bag is too much—like going to the pharmacy or carrying around some snacks for the kids.
