I hope everyone had a great week and that you aren’t reeling too badly from the time change. The brilliant individual who came up with the idea of Daylight Savings Time obviously didn’t have children. March has been off to a windy start, but at least we’ve seen the sun more often than not. I’m loving the warmer weather and can feel the change in my attitude it creates.
That being said…
Girl Scouts are the devil. On the plus side, there’s only about 25 grams of fat in a whole box of Savannah Smiles.
Sunday, March 4th
Betty Crocker is the devil too. I will risk salmonella any day to lick brownie batter from a bowl.
Monday, March 5th
We were obviously not the picture of nutrition and health around here this week. Hey… everything in moderation, right? We needed something quick for the kids as ‘dinner’ on Tuesday. I say ‘dinner’ because they’ve been with my grandmother all day, thus eating all day, and ‘dinner’ on Tuesdays and Thursdays is usually more of a snack than anything else. I saw the idea for the octopus hotdog on another blog (it was in a soup) and thought it would be fun to give the kids an octopus and fishies for dinner.

If you read about Egbert on Friday, you’ve already seen this picture. If you haven’t, you can click here to find out why I’m taking pictures of eggs.
Wednesday, March 7th
Parting is such sweet sorrow. Literally. A retirement party for a co-worker = deliciously swirly cupcakes. Deliciously swirl cupcakes = extra yoga class
Thursday, March 8th
Again, not the picture of health, but the kids were away at the grandparents’ and Mama and Dad wanted to have a dinner out. At Outback. And you can’t go to Outback and not have some butter.
Friday, March 9th
I headed out, child-free, Saturday morning for a little shopping in Birkdale. It was a little cool, so not crowded, and I actually managed to leave with everything I came for. Total success!
Saturday, March 10th
This week we’ll be trying to adjust to the new time and the effect it will have on our schedule. Hopefully the nicer weather will make it all worth while.

All I can say is YUM.
I’m with you on the brownie batter!
I like that you took a photo of bowl too.
Brownie batter? Yes please! Anytime!!
