A day late and a dollar short. Such is life.
Honestly, we were just super busy this weekend enjoying Easter festivities with our families. This was probably the most relaxing ‘busy’ weekend that we’ve had in some time. For spring break at home with the kids, this week hasn’t been half bad…
Our birdie babies should be flying soon. These are the cute ones (House Finch) not the evil ones trying to live in our vents (Starlings). There were 4 babies, but one fell out of the nest not too long after hatching. 🙁 I’m lucky that mama doesn’t mind me pulling out a ladder to check out her babies. They are very sweet, not at all aggressive birds, so we let them come back and nest every year.

Snack time! I was trying to get the kids to eat something semi-healthy and all they wanted was chips and candy, which is what they always want. I had some Nutella and peanut butter handy, so I heated it and drizzled it over some apple slices, topping it off with marshmallow bits. Yummy!

Isn’t she beautiful. This was what she wanted to wear to Mamaw’s on Tuesday. It wasn’t a planned shot, thus the blur, but it turned out so pretty!

Sometimes you just get a craving for something. Wednesday, it was toast. With grape jelly. And butter. Toast: It’s what’s for dinner!

The highlight of my work-day Thursday? Reese’s Pieces Pastel Eggs. Healthy, no. Particularly bad on the heels of a butter smeared toast dinner, yes. Still delicious, mmmmhmmmm!

Man or woman, tell me this sign doesn’t make you chuckle? I pass it every time I go to my mom’s and it always makes me smile.

As I’m sure many of your days were, our Saturday was eggs, eggs, eggs! Real ones, plastic ones, candy ones… We spent the day at my sister’s mother-in-law’s house. The kids painted shirts, dyed eggs, hid eggs, jumped in a bounce house and more.
