Another week has come and gone…it’s hard to believe we’ve almost finished the first month of 2012! It really is the simple things in life that seem to amuse me through all of the complicated stuff.
Sunday, we spent the afternoon at my sister’s house. She made her super awesome Chicken Marsala for us. It’s easily my husband’s favorite meal. I think Addison’s favorite part of the day was playing with her cousin Landon and snuggling with my sister’s massive dog, Emma. Emma is a 160 pound Great Dane. In case you don’t know what a 160 dog looks like…well, you can clearly see that her paw is almost the size of my hand. And she thinks she’s a lap dog. (Sunday, January 15th)
Another week, another picture of the feather than never moves. It looks a little tattered from the rain last week, but still in the same spot. (Monday, January 16th)
I was feeling a little gray and introspective on Tuesday, so I decided to grab a quick shot of myself. Black and white suits me. (Tuesday, January 17th )
Yoga day. ‘Nuff said. I desperately needed it this week. The workout, the stretching, the peace. I’m already looking forward to next week. My 60 minutes in yoga has quickly become my favorite 60 minutes of the week. (Wednesday, January 18th)
Finding beauty in everyday objects is something I try hard to do. Photography has played a big role in that. I was packing up to head home from the office on Thursday, and as part of my normal routine, I pulled off a strip of used adding machine paper to toss it in the recycling bin. I’m not sure what made me bend the rolled paper in my hand, but I did and it made a beautiful heart. (Thursday, January 19th)
Remember the review I did a while back for Tropical Foods? Yeah, well we do genuinely love the product, so much so that I’m buying it in the bulk section of one of our local markets. That’s a whole lot of yummy deliciousness right there. The girl and I made a quick stop after dance class on Friday. (Friday, January 20th)
Before we creeped downstairs Saturday morning, the girl announced that I should use one of her favorite coffee cups… the Agent P cup or the Bunny cup. She ultimately decided the Bunny was her favorite. That makes me chuckle a little. (Saturday, January 21st)
So, goodbye to the third week of 2012. I’m starting week 4 with a feverish boy and a girl who’s at my grandma’s. Things are all down hill from here. We hope.
