Lay’s Baked Parmesan and Tuscan Herb!

Despite the fact that I’ve consumed 2 bags of Hershey’s Kisses in the last month and I’m down 19.8 lbs in the last 11 weeks thank you very much I have never been a big ‘sweets’ eater.  Salt has always sung to my heart.  I remember sitting in the floor in front of the TV as a child, bag of Doritos in hand, becoming a zombie while I munched on the entire bag.  I have also been guilty of licking the seasoning off the chips and tossing them.  I really have a salt problem.
So, anyway, back to these chips.  I love, and I do mean love, chips with a sandwich.  It’s something about the soft, squishy bread and the contrast between it and a good, crisp chip.  The whole lifestyle eating change diet’ has really put a cramp in my snacking style.  I decided I must have chips with my Subway sandwich a few nights ago, and as the hubs was picking up dinner, I gave him free reign to pick up a bag of something ‘baked’ for me.  He came trotting in the door with these puppies and I wasn’t sure what to think.  My initial reaction was kind of ‘ugh, not sure how I’m going to feel about those’.  I think it was something about the idea of ‘herb’ and chips together.  At any rate, I hesitantly gave the chips a try, and WOW.
I am in love!
These babies are flavorful!  There is a huge punch packed in these little chips, and a lot of it comes from the herbs.  The combination of the cheese and herb flavors really compliments the potato flavor well.  I am all about flavor.  It’s what lets you enjoy your food.  Most fatty foods are flavorful and that’s what makes us like them, not the fat.  I am always thrilled when I can find something with a flavorful punch that won’t break the calorie/fat bank.  If the flavor isn’t enough for you, aside from being gluten free, trans fat free, and porcine (pork) free, Lay’s Baked Parmesan and Tuscan Herb chips also only have 3 grams of fat per ounce verses 10 grams of fat per ounce for your standard chips.
These are a must try for anyone who likes a good salty/savory snack, even if you don’t need to lower fat and calorie content.
