24.9 and 25.2

There’s not much of a difference in those numbers literally, but there’s a huge difference in them for me.  I’m talking BMI (Body Mass Index), also know as those nasty labels of healthy weight, overweight, and obese.  I’ve not seen the “healthy weight” category in… oh, 15 years or so.  I’m at .3 – a tiny, meager, HUGE .3 away.

I can see so many changes in myself from 19 weeks ago.  There are a lot of things that haven’t changed too though.  I still love food.  It’s still hard for me to be out and not have some of the things I see other people enjoying.  Case and point, the Maroon 5 / Kelly Clarkson concert I went to last week.  That was hard.  I hate a great time, don’t misunderstand, but it was a struggle not to let myself fall into old, typical habits.  I made my mind up though that I would not let going out be an excuse to fall back into those old patterns, and I didn’t.  That’s not to say I don’t let myself enjoy things *sometimes*, because I have and I do (you can read through the posts below and see that I have strayed off plan more than once), but everyday can’t be an excuse.

Those 3 tiny tenths are eluding me.

I have 12 lbs left to hit my goal, and I know those 12 lbs will be hard to come by.  They won’t come easy, but I’m on the long road.  I’m looking beyond those 12 lbs… I want them to stay away once they’re gone, so if it takes me another 3 months to get there, I’m committed.

I’ll have another update in 2-3 weeks, and hopefully another loss to report.
