I’m just going to say it first thing… there are spoilers below. If you don’t want to know what has happened in some of this Fall’s hottest shows (at least as far as I’m concerned), stop reading now. If you’ve missed an episode of your favorite show and want to catch up, now is the perfect time.
I’m not a crazy avid TV watcher, at least not by conventional standards. That’s not to say that the TV isn’t on in our house a lot, because it is, but I am usually doing something else (or four or five other things) and don’t really pay it much attention before 9 pm. Besides, before 9 pm, the only thing interesting on the TV in my house is Mighty Machines or SpongeBob Squarepants. But, when 9 PM comes and goes…and the little ones are strapped tucked in their beds…then I can relax (relatively speaking) and enjoy a little entertainment of my own.
Today, let’s talk Sons of Anarchy.
I’m gonna say it… I am not happy that my Jax has another woman in his life. What the heck, Jax? I mean, I saw it coming, but that didn’t make it any better. It’s not like we haven’t been down this road before, but it doesn’t mean I want to see him go down it again.
And that little boy in the season opener? Craziness, right? That was a really hard episode for me to digest. I have children, friends with children in school, and with so much violence, I have to wonder if maybe they took that episode to far? I mean, there have been so many instances of that type of scenario… is it too real to be on TV too? I’m not sure that there wasn’t a better way to work that storyline without turning to a childhood killer as the hook.
And, Tara. What the heck is Tara up to? I know she’s planning a divorce, or maybe a disappearance, or maybe she’s just worried something is going to happen to her…regardless, I don’t like the direction her character is taking. She’s becoming far too secretive and cloaked. I want to be able to see her vision for protecting her family, keeping them together, like I used to see. I don’t like this version of Tara.
I am so glad Clay didn’t give up the club. Helping Otto carry out the execution of that annoying, pestering marshall made me happy. I was sad to see Otto meet his end, but I knew his time was coming. As in typical Sutter fashion, it was a bloody affair that left my stomach turning.
I’m intrigued, I’m hooked. I am an SOA addict.
As I’m writing this, I’m anxiously awaiting tonight’s episode (another hour and a half long episode) which you will have probably watched by the time you read this. If you’re a fan, where do you think the show is going? Supposedly, everything will change after tonight. What do you think?
