Oh The Places You’ll Go! {A Seuss Style Party}

Oh The Places You’ll Go!

Dr Seuss Celebration Party

Kindergarten Bound!

We’re rapid heading toward kindergarten, but there is so much beyond!  With preschool graduation under our belts, all that’s left to do is wait.

Mrs. Heather (the girl’s preschool director) did a great job creating the perfect Seuss Styled celebration for all of our little graduates.  I know Pinterest played a big part in the planning process – it’s been a life saver for me personally when it comes to party planning.

The overall tablescape was super adorable and caught the eye of every kid in attendance.  With the colors being so basic, it’s really easy to find complementing tableware without too much stress.  The stripes were very Seussian.

Seuss Party TreatsThe graduation scrolls (aka – Swiss Cake Rolls) were my husband’s favorite.  He’s an reformed addict.  It was a long process, but I finally got him to give up his nightly Swiss Cake Roll fix.  You could use real ribbon to tie around these guys, or red licorice sting would make an excellent, edible alternative.

Mmmm….cupcakes!  Simple vanilla cupcakes with piped icing was more than enough with all of the other treats we had.  If you wanted to get fancier, you could add in red or white to your icing pattern, or get really crazy and attempt red and white striped.  Personally, I think the simple blue version was plenty.

Seuss Cupcakes

I loved the swirled cookies.  Everyone else apparently did too, as it took no time for them to disappear.  The kids thought the colors were fun and exciting.  I loved that no two cookies were the same, kind of like our little ones.

The fishbowl was a perfect finishing touch, adding both height and functionality.  I’m pretty sure some of our little graduates actually ate their fish in the blue jello fish bowl cups too.

Preschool GraduatesAfter a chance to tell everyone what they wanted to be when they grow up, and pick up their preschool diplomas, our little guys and girls lined up for one last preschool picture.  Aren’t our graduates cute?
