Shin Splints, Applebee’s and the Internet

I’ve been a bad blogger this week. I’ve been all wrapped up in ‘real life’ and neglected you guys for the most part.  I also have shin splints. Can I just say ‘ouch!’  I’ve been running more frequently, and I guess it’s caught up with me.  I’m writing this Von my iPad, from my couch, where I’m laying down with a bag of frozen peas on my shin.  Frozen peas really do make the best ice packs.

So, who’s kept up with the Applebee’s drama this week?  If you’re not up to speed, here’s the basics: Large party came into Applebee’s.  Auto 18% gratuity was added to the check.  The Patron marked through the 18% tip, wrote in zero and left a note ‘I give God 10%, why should you get 18sign and signed the receipt ‘Pastor’ and her name. After a picture of the receipt was posted online by a waitress, it went viral.  The pastor stays her career is ruined and she’s managed to get the waitress fired.

There’s a very important life lesson here… Don’t do things you’d be ashamed for other people to know about.  In the days of the Internet and social media, nothing is private and the things you say and do to others can very well ruin you.  Don’t be a victim of your own stupidity.
