There is little more peaceful, more serene than a sleeping child. What’s even better is when it happens naturally. The day catches up on them, and they just drift off – right where they are.
Summer camp has been kicking little guy’s booty. After camp on Friday, we came in as usually and grabbed a snack for everyone. Little Miss Sunshine climbed on one couch with hers and boy wonder hit the other couch with his. I went about my business, unpacking bags and putting away the various things that came back in their lunchboxes. The girl had since left her perch on the couch and was heading for the playroom. I knew the boy was being awful quiet, but sometimes he really gets sucked into tv for a few minutes. Then I came into the family room and saw him. Still sitting up, face turned into the couch, fast asleep. He was still holding his snack in his hand. <3
