Sugar and Spice Scrubs – 2012 Holiday Gift Guide #Give@way

Y’all, there’s only so much girly bath stuff one girl can handle.  It may be hard to believe, but it’s true.  For the longest time, I had a fairly constant rotation of lotions and bath gels and everything else that had been gifted to me from my husband, mother-in-law and pretty much anyone else that didn’t know what to buy for me.

Everyone needs girly stuff, right?  Well , maybe.  Some of that girly stuff, especially many of the highly commercialized brands are full – and I mean full – of chemicals that actually dry out your skin verses hydrating it.  Isn’t hydration usually the goal?

Did I just ruin your go-to gift?

Sugar and Spice – Rippy’s Rise & Shine Sugar Scrub

No worries.  I’ve got you covered.  Actually, my friend Ellen does.  Ellen started Sugar and Spice Scrubs in 2011.  Originally a business she ran out of her home, the popular demand for her goodies (scrubs, body sprays, bath salts and gift sets) has allowed her to offer her scrubs and other wonderful products out of a retail location in Cornelius, NC – The Bird’s Nest Boutique – as well as her online store.  If you’ve been around Mama.Mommy.Mom. for a while, you may remember me giving away a Sugar and Spice Scrubs gift card last year.  I loved her scrubs then, and I still do now.

These products aren’t full of alcohol and other moisture sucking chemicals.  Nope.  Essential oils, almond oil and sugar make up the bulk of Sugar and Spice Scrubs.  You can still give the girly gifts you want to give, without sucking your gift-getters dry…literally!

In addition to just being an awesome product, buying from small businesses like Ellen’s helps support our economy!  I know I’m doing my part…

So, to help you make a dent in your holiday shopping list, I’m giving away 2 Sugar and Spice Scrubs gift sets.  Each set contains 2 – 2 oz products (either 2 scrubs or 1 scrub and 1 bath salt).  These will make great gifts (if you can pass up the temptation to keep them yourself!)  To enter, use the Rafflecopter form below.  And, good luck!

I love to pamper myself with my nightly L’uvalla ritual of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. I love to exfoliate once a week and Burts Bees Coconut Foot creme is my go to feet pampering favorite. I use sugar scrubs when I shower for “special occassions”.

  2. Candice Davis says:

Honestly, my absolute FAVORITE way to pamper myself is to settle down in a steaming hot bubble bath with a glass of wine and my Kindle…. Oh and shut the door… did I meantion that the husband and kids are usually gone during this process too? :)

I pamper with a warm shower, followed by snuggling down in a fuzzy robe or blanket. It’s not much, but it’s nice.

  8. This sounds awesome. I need some scrub in my life (I don’t HAVE to give it away as a present if I win, do I?) I’m a Facebook fan, too!

  9. Kristen M. says:

I’m not great at pampering myself. When I do, it looks like me cuddled up on the couch with a warm drink and a good book.
