A special ‘thanks’ to Take Shape for Life for setting me up on my weight loss journey. Take Shape for Life has provided me with a health coach and all of the products/materials I need to evaluate their program and take this journey toward a healthier, much smaller me.  The new me!  While the products/materials are free to me, that will in no way influence my opinion of the program or any of the information I share with you through this journey.  All thoughts and opinions will be mine and they will be honest, both the good and the bad.

The new me is almost here.  I can see things changing shape.  I can definitely feel it in my clothes.  Heck, I virtually need a new wardrobe.  As much as things have changed on the outside, I decided to change them a little more last week and give the new me a little boost with some highlights and a new hair cut.

The New Me Weight Loss Dark Hair with Highlights

I can tell my face has slimmed down a lot…

The highlights were my 10% body weight loss treat to myself.  I made a list back when I started Take Shape For Life of things I wanted and assigned them each to a goal.  I’ve since hit my second goal, 15%, and get to bu myself a new camera lens for that one!  Maybe a new lens will encourage me to actually pick up my big camera again and stop relying so heavily on my iPhone.

My favorite things so far about Take Shape For Life is how portable the program is.  I mean, we have members in our Facebook group who have vacationed successfully while on plan by simply packing their foods.  How many people can say that?  Case and point, this weekend was another all day Saturday trek to a pageant for my daughter.  I packed 4 of my 5 daily Medifast meals into my Thirty-One Thermal Tote, plus a fifth option – just in case we ended up being gone longer than I planned – and hit the road.  It was as easy as that.  I didn’t have to worry about finding something I could have while I was out, I just grabbed something out of my bag and went about my business.

And running… I am FINALLY gaining some speed.  It’s not much, at least not compared to some, but my per mile pace is creeping down thanks mostly to my ability to actually keep running longer than I’ve ever been able to without taking a walking break to catch my breath.  The new me is very, very happy about that.  Working out almost every day (ok, so 5 days a week) has really just become part of my routine now.

My sister’s ‘killer’ 82 lb Rottweiler puppy ‘attacking’ me after my Friday run.

An unofficial goal I’d set for myself – to hit 160 before we head to the beach for vacation – yeah, I did that too.  The new me is heading to the beach in two weeks, not the old me.  The new me is pretty happy about that.

Does Take Shape for Life sound like something that might work for you?  I think the program can work for just about anyone who wants it to.  My health coach, Margaret Hartman, has been a huge part of my success and I know she would love to help you meet your goals too!  And, if you are using the Take Shape for Life program, your coaching is included at no additional cost.  If you want to reach out to me, or to Margaret, about the program – email us, post a comment here, message us on Facebook!  We will respond.
