Things Are Changing – A Photo Update {Take Shape For Life – Week 9} #TSFL (Sponsored)

A special ‘thanks’ to Take Shape for Life for setting me up on my weight loss journey. Take Shape for Life has provided me with a health coach and all of the products/materials I need to evaluate their program and take this journey toward a healthier, much smaller me.  While the products/materials are free to me, that will in no way influence my opinion of the program or any of the information I share with you through this journey.  All thoughts and opinions will be mine and they will be honest, both the good and the bad.

I’ve been promising you guys a new picture of my progress…

Take pictures in standing mirrors is hard.

I’m finally comfortable going out in my running skirts without extra compression shorts or capris under them.  That’s HUGE for me!  What’s not huge?  My belly.  I love it!  I’m down another pant size and couldn’t be happier.  I leave for the beach in 17 days and I feel confident that I will hit my goal of 160 before we head down.  I can’t wait to run on the beach in my skirts!

With the 4th of July holiday, we spent a good bit of time out and about.  We actually ate out 4 days in a row.  I was not expecting my loss this week to be more than a pound.  I was pleasantly surprised!

Here’s what I had when we were out: At Applebee’s, I had the California Shrimp Salad (no dressing – it totally didn’t need it!).  At Jack’s Corner Tap (a fun, local pub), I had a Malibu Shrimp and Crab salad with a light vinaigrette.  At Outback, I had a grilled mahi mahi fillet with salad and veggies (no oil or butter).  At Mama Ricotta’s (Italian), I had a Wood Oven Fired Salmon Fillet with house salad.

Yes, that’s a lot of salad.  I’m actually enjoying salad a lot these days – even without dressing.  Avocado is a huge help in that respect.  It gives you something cool and creamy, but healthy too.  Shrimp are always a good option, as is fish, as long as you make sure to request NO butter and NO oil.  I only got one “as you sure?” out of the 4 trips out last week.  I almost got steak at Outback, but a serving of Mahi Mahi is almost twice as much in weight as a serving of beef.

I’m definitely eating in more this week, also planning to head out at some point to address the whole “I have nothing that fits” issue I’m running up against.  I’m not complaining about that one bit!

I’m down over half of my goal and there is an end in sight!  Down 25.8 total!

Oh, I bought a bikini top to replace one of my tankini tops too!

Here’s the scoop…
